2027 Job Market Forecast: Remote Roles for LATAM Talent

Federico WaldmanNovember 5, 20263 min read

The remote roles for LATAM talent most likely to grow in 2027 are the ones US companies already hired the most in 2026. Between January and October 2026, Resorsi placed 72 professionals from Latin America with US companies. Here is what those companies hired, what the roles paid, and what we expect next.

What US Companies Hired in 2026

Remote roles for LATAM talent in 2026 were spread across operations, not concentrated in tech:

  • Executive and administrative assistants: 19 placements
  • Marketing and creative: 13 placements
  • Accounting and finance: 10 placements
  • Sales: 10 placements
  • Customer support and customer success: 8 placements
  • Software and data: 7 placements
  • Operations and other roles: 5 placements

Software and data, the area most forecasts focus on, was the second smallest group. The biggest demand was for people who keep a business running day to day.

Five Roles to Watch in 2027

1. Executive and administrative assistants. The largest group, and the one where companies come back: one US company hired six assistants through Resorsi in 2026. Most full-time placements paid about $14,400 to $25,200 a year. Assistants who handle calendars, inboxes, and CRM updates and also use AI tools to draft and summarize are the profile we expect to see more of.

2. Customer support and customer success. One telecom company hired three technical support specialists in two months. Two software companies hired customer success managers. Support roles paid about $14,400 to $24,000 a year; customer success roles, $22,500 to $54,000. Customer success pays more because it is measured on retention, not tickets closed.

3. Accounting and finance. Bookkeepers earned about $16,800 to $18,000 a year and accountants $22,800 to $26,400. One US CFO firm hired four accounting professionals in 2026 alone. Firms come back for this role when their client list grows, which makes it one of the most stable on this list.

4. Marketing with measurable results. Media buyers, email automation, content strategy, social media management, and graphic design in Colombia and Mexico. These roles paid about $16,800 to $36,000 a year. The common thread: each one is tied to a number the company tracks, such as ad spend, open rates, or leads.

5. Data and engineering. A business intelligence analyst, an analytics engineer, a data scientist, and full-stack engineers. These paid about $36,480 to $50,400 a year, the highest on this list. Fewer openings, but companies that hire one data role often come back for the next: one software company hired a BI analyst in 2024 and returned in 2026 for an analytics engineer and a data scientist.

What These Roles Have in Common

In the interviews behind these placements, three things separated strong candidates:

  • Depth in specific tools. Not a long list, but two or three tools used at an advanced level, such as QuickBooks, Figma, or Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Results with numbers. Two out of three candidates we interviewed could not name a single measurable result from their past jobs. The ones who could stood out immediately.
  • English that can be verified. In almost half of our interviews, English was marked as something to confirm later. A short video or a recent certificate removes that doubt.

The salary figures are annual and approximate, calculated from 2026 placements, and come from small samples. They are not market averages.
