(MEX) Senior Social Editor

About the Company

A New York-based performance branding agency that builds and scales digital campaigns for consumer brands including The North Face and Ben & Jerry's. The team works across paid social, search, display, and creative, with regional teams in Mexico and Colombia. On-site role in a modern, pet-friendly coworking office.

Role Summary

The Senior Social Editor creates short-form video content for social platforms, working alongside designers, strategists and producers to develop engaging, trend-responsive content that drives results for clients across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and emerging platforms. The role is fully in-office in Mexico City, five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and optimize short-form videos for multiple social platforms
• Develop motion graphics, typography animations and visual effects
• Repurpose footage into platform-specific formats reflecting trends and client direction
• Monitor cultural and platform trends, incorporating relevant music and editing techniques
• Create multi-format versions (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) per campaign specifications
• Collaborate with Creative Leads and Account Managers on deliverables
• Maintain accuracy in timing, captions, graphics and audio

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of professional editing experience in digital marketing, social media or agency settings.
• Strong Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects proficiency
• Knowledge of platform-native editing tools (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, CapCut)
• Understanding of short-form content trends, pacing and storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Professional English; resume must be submitted in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with generative AI tools for editing, captioning or effects
• Hands-on social content shooting experience (phone or DSLR)
• Demonstrated passion for pop culture and internet trends
