Director of Sales & Corporate Partnerships
About the Company
A fast-growing racket sports company building a platform for the sport in the United States. It operates a portfolio of premium padel and racket clubs, a nationwide padel league, an annual industry festival, and an e-commerce arm that sells padel, pickleball, and other racket sports equipment and apparel from brands such as Adidas, Wilson, Babolat, and Nox, with a focus on competitive pricing, expert customer support, and a seamless online shopping experience.
Role Summary
You will own the full sales pipeline across two motions: high-velocity local B2B sales (corporate memberships, offsites, brand activations) and consultative national sponsorship sales (naming rights, category exclusivity, season-long partnerships). This is a hands-on, solo seat at the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a bookings quota across club revenue and sponsorship revenue
- Build and work outbound pipeline, running discovery through close
- Sell against buyers' predictable budget and planning calendars
- Partner with marketing to close collateral gaps, building materials yourself when needed
- Package tier structures into proposals that fit a buyer's budget
- Make the case for cross-platform partnerships spanning clubs, league, and festival
- Own renewals and upsell on annual sponsorships and memberships
- Coordinate with club General Managers on event feasibility and delivery
Required Skills
- 3+ years in B2B sales with a genuine track record of hitting targets
- Sponsorship, partnership, or venue sales experience from any live-experience category (hospitality, hotels and resorts, conferences, festivals, entertainment venues, private clubs, or sports); racket sports background not required
- Comfort running both long multi-stakeholder sponsorship cycles and fast single-event bookings
- Genuine outbound ability: builds pipeline rather than waiting for it
- Fluency with marketing buyers: can speak credibly to reach, activation, and ROI
- CRM discipline and reliable forecasting
- Enthusiasm and comfort working independently in a solo seat
- Excellent English
Nice to Have
- Existing book of relationships with brand and agency decision-makers
- Familiarity with padel, tennis, pickleball, golf, or private club environments
- Track record performing remotely without close supervision
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Experience building a sales function, not just working inside one
